Beginning

My favorite place is in the middle.  Beginnings are scary, endings are sad, but the middle is where you find the good stuff.  In the middle, it's safe, established, thriving, comfortable, and productive.  Recently I've been in a transition phase.  Transitions are not the middle.  Transitions are no man's land where one thing has ended and something else has not yet begun.  Transitions are my absolute least favorite places to be.  So, this blog is my way of exiting the transition by taking control and creating a beginning.

I've closed down my other blogs (there were four of them, only two were written on with any sort of consistency as of late though).  I created my first blog in 2005 when I decided I wanted to be a writer.  Writing has always been one of my favorite hobbies, but I never let anyone read anything I wrote.  I took my first creative writing class in 2004 and decided it was about time to start letting people in on one of my greatest passions.  A year after graduating from SLCC, I entered the blogging community.  Now, six years and thousands of blog posts later, I'm shelving the past and beginning anew.

Welcome to my life.  I'm going to try to keep this blog positive but I can't make any promises.  I have a tendency to get a little personal and I have rather a knack for getting into the deep and dark of life at times.  I think a lot, I feel a lot, and I write a lot - a lot.

This blog is about my experiences, my thoughts, my adventures in life.  Welcome!  I hope you visit often.  Feel free to leave comments (please keep them appropriate, applicable, and kind).  Thanks!

  2. I have a tendency to get personal in my blogs too. I enjoy being let in to other peoples lives- aside from the trivial things that are hard to get past when speaking with someone in person. Keep on Keepin on!
